MTPE — Machine Translation Post-Editing — is the process of using AI or machine translation as a first draft, then having a professional linguist correct, refine, and certify the output before delivery.

It is not a compromise between speed and quality. Done correctly, it is faster than full human translation, more accurate than AI alone, and significantly more cost-effective for high-volume projects.
